Starting a business usually consumed a lot of your time,  looking for phone numbers of your prospective clients or remembering different passwords that you won’t be able to locate where you write them off, or sometimes you are looking for a template that you need to create to respond to a certain inquiry.

Being disorganized makes everything harder, it zaps your energy, diminishes your focus, and makes you unproductive.

So to avoid, those moments, here are 3 tips that will help you get organized and get more done in less time.

Keep an organized  desk or work area

Doesn’t it feel great to look at your workspace and see everything organized?  Chaos can infringe your focus on the task at hand.  Everything should have a space and a place.  A streamlined and clean workspace gives you more motivation to be productive and creative.

Designate an inbox or a desktop file organizer, wherein you can put documents that require your attention to prioritize or organize.  Spend at least 10 minutes each day or each week,  at the end of your business hour to tidy up your inbox or your desk, and to avoid missing out on anything that potentially could be time sensitive. This way,  you can start fresh and feel organized the next time you come into your office.

Create SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)

Having an established Standard  Operating  Procedure (SOP), ensure that each step that you do in your business is followed consistently each and every time.  Not only that but always remember that in creating SOP, your end goal is to make your template look and read the same way, for uniformity and consistency.   So when in time  you form your  own team, you can hand over these standard  operating  procedures, to ensure  that  they’re on board and make sure they perform their  tasks easily

Create a to-do-list for the next day

To-do-list is the universal language in the world of business organization.  Jot down everything you need to be done in a way,  number them according to the priority level, and rearrange them as needed.  Creating a smaller to-do list under larger to-do bullets  will help you coordinate the completion of your tasks and will help you prioritize.

While having a master to-do list is also important because you can write down everything that comes into your mind at the oddest time that in some way you feel that you have to attend to.

As a parallel-preneur, you know that you have a lot of responsibility, from profession to family and business responsibility, so that when you start your business hour, you can focus on your client and mark things off as they are completed.  You will feel a sense of ease and accomplishment when you visually see a list of your checked tasks.  And you will still have ample time for the next client to assist with.
